Forks Community Hospital received the Washington State Hospital Association’s 2016 Achieving Best Care Award for its success in a broad variety of patient safety measures. This is a reflection of the strong commitment of our staff to providing the best quality of care. Their hard work continues to make care safer for our patients!
SEATTLE – The Washington State Hospital Association honored hospitals with awards recognizing their efforts to achieve high quality care and demonstrate community health leadership during the association’s annual meeting on Oct. 14, 2016, at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront. The Achieving Best Care award and Community Health Leadership award are among the association’s highest honors awarded to health care organizations in Washington state.
“We congratulate the hospitals that are being recognized for their deep commitment to providing the best care possible for every patient and ensuring everyone in their community has high quality care,” WSHA President and CEO Scott Bond said. “Washington state hospitals share the goals of ensuring high quality care and patient safety as well as looking at the health of the entire community.”
The Achieving Best Care award seeks to recognize health care organizations that are performing well on a broad variety of measures aimed at providing the best care possible for each and every patient.
“Washington state hospitals have committed to reducing all cause harm by 40 percent and readmissions by 20 percent through our Partnership for Patients program,” Bond said. “We congratulate the award winners for their commitment to these goals and their efforts aimed at reducing all cause harm and readmissions.”
